RESTRICTIONS REMOVED from September 29: The CON IS ON!

Here is the programme for the convention 19 – 21 November, 2021. There could still be minor changes.

Fantastika 2021 is an SF convention that will take place in Dieselverkstaden in Sickla near the center of Stockholm on November 19-21, 2021 (new dates). The venue has been used for SF conventions in 2013 ,2016, and 2018, and our goal is about the same type of convention. There will be programme on Friday 17.00 – 22.00, on Saturday 10.00 – 22.00, and on Sunday 10.00 – 17.00. After Closing on Sunday there will be a Dead Dog Party. We intend to have at least one English programme at all times.

Our Guests of Honour are Adrian Tchaikovsky, Peadar Ó Guilín, Eva Holmquist and Maria Nilson. Maria Nilson is unfortunately taken ill with a cold and fever, and will not be present at the convention. We are trying to arrange an interview via zoom and a lecture via the internet.

Memberships of the postponed convention Fantastika 2020 are automatically transferred to Fantastika 2021. Please write to tomas.cronholm@gmail.com if you want a refund instead.

Bring books and fannish paraphernalia! You can give them to Bellis for the NoFF auction or get new ones at the trophy exchange.

Convention rules due to Covid-19

The convention adheres to the instructions from The Public Health Agency of Sweden. Face masks are not required.

Everyone should pay attention to symptoms of COVID-19 in order to protect others. If you suspect that you have COVID-19, you should stay at home and avoid contact with other people.

If you are not fully vaccinated against COVID-19, special attention should be paid to people in a risk group and those aged 70 and over. You should take precautions to avoid infection yourself and to avoid spreading COVID-19. When possible, you should:  

1. keep a distance from other people
2. avoid close contact with people in a risk group, and people who are aged 70 and over.

These guidelines do not apply to people under the age of 18 years, or to people who have been recommended not to get vaccinated against COVID-19 for medical reasons.

Please read the instructions from The Public Health Agency of Sweden especially if you or someone in your family has fallen ill.

How to get there 

Public Transportation 
To get to Fantastika from Slussen (which is also a metro station), you can take any of the buses 401, 403, 491, 409 – 422 or 496. Get off at Sickla bro or Sickla station. In other words you can take any of the buses that leave from stops F, G, H and I at the Slussen terminal.
From Gullmarsplan (which is also a metro station) you take tram 22 (also called Tvärbanan) to the terminal station Sickla. You can also take the inner city bus 71 to Sickla allé.

Parking
If you’re staying at a hotel we recommend that you park there. There is paid parking in the square outside Dieselverkstaden, in the round parking house across the square and in the shopping centre.

Conveniently situated in the venue. Somewhat health focused with – among other
things – good vegetarian food.

Somewhat expensive, but the food is good… they for example know their meat.
